Istar Crossword Jr. is a delightful approach to computer crosswords, especially designed for children ages 8 years and older. Three Skill Levels challenge growing minds while increasing vocabulary and memorization through exercise. Skill Level 1 gives definitions and a word list to choose from. Skill Level 2 list definitions. Skill Level 3 is a simplified version of CrissCross and only lists words which are placed on a graphics matrix.

Word entry is accomplished be entering a row number and corresponding column letter, and then a direction. Helpful toggles provide for hints, checking errors, and even answers. Scoring, through minimizing entries and asking for as little help as possible, challenges young minds in a competitive atmosphere, while offering family fun for all.
